Workers Compensation Attorney
Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of workers’ compensation defense matters from inception through resolution
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and motion practice
- Appear before Workers’ Compensation Appeals Boards (WCAB) as needed
- Communicate directly with clients, including insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators
- Develop case strategy and proactively manage files to resolution
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in a high-volume environment
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar admission (required)
- Experience in workers’ compensation defense preferred (open to strong litigation backgrounds)
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to manage a caseload independently in a hybrid/remote environment
Work Structure
Hybrid model
Travel required for hearings, depositions, and occasional in-office meetings
Office space available if desired
