Job Details
Responsibilities
- Represent employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in Louisiana workers’ compensation matters
- Handle cases from inception through resolution, including hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Take and defend depositions, including claimant, medical, and expert depositions
- Appear before Louisiana Office of Workers’ Compensation (OWC) judges
- Provide strategic legal advice and reporting to clients and carriers
- Maintain organized case files and meet litigation deadlines
