Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney

MGC is an industry-leading civil litigation firm with 31 years of excellence, spanning 22 offices across 12 states. We are seeking attorneys with 1-3 years of practice experience to join our Workers' Compensation team in Greenville, SC.

About the Role

Our associates gain hands-on experience in all phases of litigation from case inception to trial, with direct client contact. This is a membership track position with defined benchmarks, a formal mentorship structure, and hybrid work options.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina, or have pending South Carolina bar exam results
• Willingness to learn and work autonomously and within a team structure

Responsibilities

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants
