Worker II, Surplus

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. All employees are expected to maintain a permanent residence within the State of Utah as a condition of employment. New employees must provide a valid Utah residential address within 30 days of their start date.

About the Role

Pick up all college property that is no longer needed or used. This includes furniture, teaching aids, electronics, lost and found items, etc. Prep items for sale or disposal and keep accurate records. Work with other Facilities departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Able to lift 75 lbs.
• Complete and pass defensive driving and forklift training within 30 days of being hired.
• Able to safely operate a wide variety of vehicles, trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Able to wipe and reformat a wide variety of computers and other equipment.
• Able to use a wide variety of software including MS Word, Excel, Warehouse Management, Package Tracking, Sprocket, Etrieve, PowerPoint, and work on desktop computers, tablets, smartphones, or other mobile computing devices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, and ethnic backgrounds to maintain good working relationships across the College.
• Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic background of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.

Requirements

• Valid Utah driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
