About the role

We are seeking a dependable, safety-minded Operations Worker to support daily plant nutrient manufacturing and distribution operations. This hands-on role involves activities associated with the receiving, storage, handling, packaging, shipping, and application of plant nutrient products while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Candidates with mechanical aptitude or experience performing basic maintenance tasks—such as greasing equipment, cleaning and painting machinery, and assisting with routine equipment upkeep—are strongly encouraged to apply. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, take pride in maintaining equipment and facilities, and are willing to learn and support multiple areas of a fast-paced plant operation.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance and active participation in all relevant safety and environmental programs
• Receives, stores, cares for, processes, packages, distributes, and applies products and services within the facility or at customer locations, including housekeeping and upkeep
• Performs basic quality inspections and records operational data
• Performs accurate input duties using company operating systems and programs
• Operates and maintains various types of mobile and fixed equipment

At this level, you are expected to have developed skills through formal training or considerable work experience and work within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1-2 years’ relevant experience required

Skills

Mechanical aptitude or experience performing basic maintenance tasks such as greasing equipment, cleaning and painting machinery, and assisting with routine equipment upkeep.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

• Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time
• Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds
• Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feet
• Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
• Working conditions could include: dust, fumes, moderate noise, and uneven surfaces
