Workday QA Tester

About the role

Workday QA Tester supporting a critical financial systems migration from SAP to Workday. Responsible for testing integration between Workday and internal applications, ensuring data integrity and seamless functionality. The role involves analyzing integration points, identifying test scenarios, executing tests, managing defect triage, and automating end‑to‑end testing with Playwright and TypeScript.

Location: Orlando, Florida (Remote). Duration: 12‑month contract with potential to extend. Working EST hours. Authorization: Must be able to work on W2 without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Test integrations between Workday and various internal applications during a migration from SAP.
• Analyze data flows, understand integration architecture, and identify test scenarios that provide maximum coverage.
• Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive test cases for manual functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Execute test plans and meticulously document test results and defects.
• Participate in defect triage discussions, track resolution progress, and validate fixes.
• Use Playwright and TypeScript to automate end‑to‑end testing for payment workflows and Workday business processes.
• Collaborate with development teams and implementation partners to ensure quality standards are met.
• Provide status updates on testing progress and release readiness to project leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on ERP systems.
• Demonstrated experience in financial testing, including Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency with Playwright and TypeScript for test automation.
• Strong manual testing experience.
• Knowledge of API and database testing principles.
• Experience with test results analysis and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing.
• Familiarity with Workday Financials.

Pay

Rate: $55‑60/hr. on W2.
