Responsibilities

  • Architect "Net-New" Implementations: Lead the design and configuration for net-new Workday implementations, establishing the foundational tenant architecture, ensuring the organizational and supervisory structures are tailored and built to scale for complex healthcare systems.
  • Lead High-Impact Tenant Optimizations: Lead strategic optimization assessments for existing Workday customers to identify configuration inefficiencies, underutilized features, and process gaps then architect and execute a remediation plan to maximize platform value.
  • Define Healthcare Best Practice: Develop and maintain standardized healthcare configuration playbooks (e.g., Position Management, Clinical Credentialing, and Nurse Staffing workflows) to accelerate delivery, ensure consistency, and enhance solution quality across engagements.
  • Technical Design Authority & Delivery Governance: Serve as the final approver for all technical HCM-related design documents to ensure the solution is technically sound, adheres to Workday’s deployment methodology, and meets specific healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Engagement Leadership & Knowledge Transfer: As the senior HCM functional lead during the project lifecycle, drive knowledge transfer to the client’s internal HRIS team to ensure sustainability and self-sufficiency post go-live.
  • Internal Leadership and Growth: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, effective communication, and a commitment to high quality delivery. Contribute to internal capability development through mentoring consultants and supporting sales initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of HRIS/ERP experience, with at least 6–8 years of dedicated, hands-on Workday HCM configuration. Proven leadership of 4+ full-lifecycle Workday HCM implementations or major multi-module optimization projects.
  • Healthcare Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of provider-specific challenges, including Position Management, Clinical Credentialing, and the complexities of 24/7 staffing and payroll.
  • Technical Depth: Expert-level proficiency in Workday business processes, security, and advanced reporting (Matrix/Composite). Experience with EIBs is required; Studio knowledge is preferred.
  • Certifications: Current Workday HCM Core certification required. Specialized certifications in Workday payroll, compensation, recruiting, or talent/performance are highly preferred.
  • Methodology & Strategy: Deep expertise in Workday Accelerated/Launch methodology. Proven ability to design solutions for complex organizational models (e.g., global multi-company setups or M&A).
  • Advisory & Communication: Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence leadership audiences and translate complex technical concepts into value for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
