Workday Platform Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Workday Technical Developer with broad expertise across Workday configuration, reporting, calculated fields, business process design, and Workday Extend application development. The role spans technical configuration, custom report design, integration support, and lightweight application extension work, helping HR, finance, and IT stakeholders get more value from the Workday platform.
About the Role
The role involves working closely with cross-functional partners such as product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions. You will be expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into clean, maintainable Workday configurations
- Work with cross-functional partners to design and implement custom reports and business processes
- Configure and extend Workday applications to meet functional and performance needs
- Support integration and data flow between Workday and other systems
- Contribute to code reviews and provide guidance to less experienced team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Five or more years of Workday technical experience
- Deep expertise in Workday report writer including advanced and composite reports
- Strong proficiency with calculated fields across HCM and Finance
- Hands-on experience configuring business processes and condition rules
- Strong understanding of Workday security framework
- Experience with PRISM Analytics or Workday Extend
- Familiarity with Workday tenant management and release process
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
