Workday Payroll Consultant (contract)

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to Workday Payroll.
• Configure and support Workday Payroll solutions to meet business needs.
• Partner with stakeholders across product, technology, and business teams to deliver enhancements and improvements.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation activities to ensure solution quality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and create/manage user stories within Jira.
• Support end-to-end implementation activities, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Workday experience, including:
• Requirements gathering
• System configuration
• Testing and validation
• Strong expertise in the Workday Payroll module
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience creating and managing user stories in Jira
• Strong testing background with demonstrated experience in test planning and execution
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to interact effectively with product teams, technology partners, and executive-level leadership
