About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced Workday HCM Security Architect with over 13 years of expertise in designing, revamping, and implementing large-scale HCM programs. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in end-to-end Workday implementations and post-implementation support, coupled with the exceptional communication skills required to clearly explain complex Workday architectures to leadership. This role demands a proven architect who has managed over 100 unique HCM and Compensation projects, as well as over 50 advanced security projects. Deep U.S. and Canadian payroll experience, prior PeopleSoft experience, and active Workday certifications are strictly required.
Responsibilities
- Architect, configure, and maintain Core HCM and Security setups for complex enterprise environments.
- Design, implement, and support advanced security architectures, including Aggregation, Intersection, Role Based, User Based, Org Based, and Rule Based security groups.
- Manage full-cycle Workday implementations and provide critical post-production support to stabilize and update business processes and security configurations.
- Lead the migration of packages using ox 2.0 and troubleshoot cross-functional security for HCM and Finance.
- Design and build Advanced, Matrix, and composite reports, incorporating advanced calculated fields and dashboards.
- Provide expert-level knowledge transfer and seamlessly articulate Workday configurations and business processes to the hiring manager and internal stakeholders.
- Provide best practice solutions for compliance and risk management across all implemented HCM modules.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 13+ years of experience partnering with medium to large enterprises to deliver comprehensive HCM programs.
- Active Workday Certifications required: Core HCM, Core Compensation, Advanced Security, Data Conversion & Tools, Recruiting, Launch, and PM.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation required.
- Extensive U.S. and Canadian payroll experience, along with prior PeopleSoft expertise.
- Strong proficiency in cross-functional configuration touching Benefits, Payroll, Talent, and TABS.
Work Environment & Operational Expectations
- While this is a remote position, the consultant must maintain a professional, distraction-free office-like setting at all times. Working from a vehicle or public transit is strictly prohibited.
- The consultant is required to be camera-ready and available for video calls at all times during regular working hours.
- Must remain online and actively engaged from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. Logging off early after immediate task completion is not permitted.
- Must be open and available to travel to the Melville office when required by the client.
