Workday HCM Solution Architect, Lead

Lead and deliver projects in the Human Capital Management (HCM) area by leveraging strong project management skills, deep analytical capabilities, and solution architecture expertise. Provide subject matter expertise on Workday best practices, partner with clients to understand pain points, prioritize requirements, and identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiency through Workday functionality. Architect Workday HCM and Compensation solutions, ensuring all work streams are cohesive and cross-functional impacts are considered and mitigated. Lead functional projects and configuration activities for enhancements and new functionality in the HCM area. Manage a small team of functional analysts and mentor junior team members. U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver HCM projects using project management, analytical, and solution architecture skills.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Workday best practices and partner with clients to address pain points and prioritize requirements.
  • Architect Workday HCM and Compensation solutions, ensuring cohesion across work streams and mitigating cross-functional impacts.
  • Lead functional projects and configuration activities for HCM enhancements and new functionality.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of functional analysts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with HCM systems.
  • 3+ years of experience with Workday HCM, including HCM touch points, Core, and Advanced Compensation.
  • 3+ years of experience with project management.
  • 2+ years of experience with people management.
  • Knowledge of HR processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of touch points with Security, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and Talent.
  • Ability to work well in structured and unstructured environments, under pressure, and with changing priorities.
  • Excellent consultative, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:

  • Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
  • Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as needed.
  • Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
