Workday HCM Senior Manager

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Workday HCM Senior Manager to join and help build a growing HCM consulting practice. In this leadership position, you’ll have the opportunity to work across delivery, client engagement, solution strategy, and practice development. You will work directly with enterprise clients to understand their workforce needs and translate those requirements into scalable Workday solutions. You’ll provide senior-level guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle while helping clients maximize their Workday investment.

The ideal candidate brings strong consulting experience, deep Workday knowledge, executive-level communication skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise Workday HCM implementations and client-facing workstreams
• Facilitate client workshops and translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions
• Provide senior-level guidance on Workday configuration, reporting, testing, data conversion, and integrations
• Conduct fit-gap assessments and develop recommendations for complex client requirements
• Manage client relationships and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders
• Support pre-sales activities, including demos, proposals, presentations, and solutioning
• Operate at a senior leadership level while remaining hands-on with technical details as needed
• Help develop and grow a Workday HCM consulting practice

Requirements

• Recent, hands-on Workday HCM implementation experience
• Strong expertise in Workday Core HCM
• Experience with Workday Compensation, Recruiting, and Talent modules
• Proven experience leading enterprise Workday projects
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, collaborative approach
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and engagements in a consulting environment
• Prior consulting experience working with enterprise organizations

Pay

$205K base salary, with additional compensation depending on experience.

Schedule

Hybrid role; must be local to Chicago, Dallas, or Philadelphia (Chicago preferred).
