Workday HCM Optimization Manager

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Workday HCM Optimization Manager to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will own efforts to improve how the organization designs, configures, and optimizes its Workday HCM environment in support of more effective people operations. The position will partner closely with internal teams to translate requirements into practical solutions, streamline workflows, and strengthen system performance and user experience. It is well suited for someone who can lead structured initiatives, guide module design and testing, and communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Pay

$118,000 – $196,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Manage optimization programs for Workday HCM solutions
• Design and develop client solutions for Workday HCM
• Lead projects to streamline customer processes
• Conduct optimization sessions to capture requirements
• Guide teams in Workday module design and testing
• Communicate challenges and solutions with teams
• Foster an innovative and collaborative team culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of Workday HCM experience, or a Master's degree plus 3+ years of experience; equivalent of 9 years of experience without a degree
• Minimum of 3 years working with Workday
• Current Workday HCM Core certification
• Experience managing structured projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong communication and presentation skills
