Contract-to-Hire Hybrid - 90% Remote, 10% Onsite Due to once a quarter travel, ideal candidate should reside in the North East No Third Parties/No C2C We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for the ongoing support, optimization, and strategic direction of the organization s Workday Human Capital Management platform. This leader will oversee functional areas including Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, Learning, and Talent, while providing the management presence, coaching, and operational discipline needed to develop the team and drive consistent delivery. This role is ideal for a leader who combines deep Workday HCM knowledge with proven people management experience. The successful candidate will foster accountability, prioritize work effectively, partner with business stakeholders, and develop team members while ensuring the organization continues to maximize its Workday investment. Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of Workday HCM professionals supporting Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, Learning, and TalentEstablish clear priorities, workload management, and governance to ensure consistent delivery across the HCM portfolioCoach, mentor, and develop team members through regular feedback, career development, and performance managementBuild a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementPartner closely with HR leadership and executive stakeholders to align Workday capabilities with business objectivesOversee Workday enhancements, releases, configuration changes, and production support activitiesEnsure high-quality functional design, testing, documentation, and issue resolution across supported modulesDrive process improvements and adoption of Workday best practices.Collaborate with technical teams, security, reporting, and integrations to deliver cross-functional initiativesManage vendor relationships and external consultants as needed Required Qualifications 7+ years of Workday HCM experience supporting one or more functional modules3+ years of direct people management experience leading Workday or HRIS teamsExperience managing functional areas such as Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, Learning, and/or TalentDemonstrated success building high-performing teams through coaching, mentorship, and performance managementStrong executive presence with excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience prioritizing multiple initiatives in a complex enterprise environment Preferred Qualifications Previous hands-on experience as a Workday HCM Analyst, Senior Analyst, or Functional LeadWorkday implementation or major deployment experienceExperience leading teams through organizational growth, transformation, or stabilizationExperience supporting healthcare or other large, complex organizationsBachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Location & Travel Preferred candidates located in the Northeastern United StatesInitial onsite onboarding and transition period, followed by periodic onsite travel as needed Our Team: Divurgent is a solutions provider focused on what matters most to our client partners.
