About the role

The Workday Financial Systems Administrator provides technical expertise in the configuration, troubleshooting, and use of Workday. This position analyzes and configures new features and modules to determine their feasibility in integrating with current products and infrastructure. You will work directly with internal teams and vendors to determine requirements, troubleshoot issues, and test solutions.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, researcher, solves complex problems, works on multiple projects simultaneously, and is willing to learn new skillsets to assist the team. You can work independently or with a group, depending on business requirements and complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains Workday Financial Management System, including configuration, security, reporting, and integrations.
  • Attends Workday training and attains Workday Pro Certifications.
  • Participates in a leading role on various special projects as assigned by Senior and Executive Management.
  • Provides top-tier support for research and resolution of complex issues.
  • Assists with and develops security as well as operational procedures for Workday.
  • Provides continual system operational support in the implementation of new Workday releases and features.
  • Maintains application integration files and parameters.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including required compliance training.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, business correspondence, journals, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and/or legal documents.
  • Ability to effectively speak, respond to questions, and present information to individuals or groups, including customers, employees, clients, managers, top management, board of directors, and the general public.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree (four-year) from an accredited university/college OR two years of experience as a Workday architect, analyst, or similar role.
  • Workday Pro Certifications (preferred).
  • Workday Financials, Security, Reporting, and/or Integrations experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and planning skills with the ability to set priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and business communication platforms preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs.
