About the role
As a Senior People Systems Analyst, you'll be a technical anchor for our Workday ecosystem. This role isn't just about maintenance. It's about architecting the future of our People data. You'll own the technical health of our HCM, Compensation, and Prism environments, balancing critical KLTO (Keep Lights On) operations with high-impact strategic projects.
Responsibilities
- Arcitect and Execute: Lead the technical configuration for annual cycles (ATR and Comp Planning), driving technical requirements, implementation, testing, and deployment to ensure a frictionless user experience.
- High-Pressure Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary technical partner for the Compensation team. You'll navigate high-stakes environments with composure, translating urgent business needs into scalable Workday solutions.
- Collaborative Escalation: Actively contribute to our supportive team culture by sharing knowledge and assisting peers. You must demonstrate the judgment to escalate risks and roadblocks timely, ensuring that "pressure" doesn't become "blockage."
- System Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the primary expert and point-of-contact for day-to-day support of Workday HCM and Compensation, managing business processes, integrations, reporting, and dashboards to ensure consistent, high-quality operations.
- Data Orchestration: Leverage Workday Prism to ingest, transform, and report on high-volume data sets, providing leadership with actionable insights.
- Document Engineering: Design and maintain professional, pixel-perfect compensation and stock statements using BIRT or Workday docs.
- Strategic Roadmapping: Work alongside People Solutions to drive product-led strategic projects from discovery to deployment, ensuring our Workday footprint evolves ahead of the growth of Stripe.
- Operational Excellence: Manage KLTO work with high precision, serving as the Tier 3 expert for HCM, Advanced Comp, and Security.
- Compliance and Governance: Maintain a rigorous posture on SOX compliance and Workday security model integrity.
- Stakeholder Diplomacy: Partner with the wider Solutions team and our stakeholders to translate complex business needs into scalable technical requirements, setting clear expectations and managing project timelines.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in HRIS and People Systems, with at least 3+ years of deep configuration experience in the Workday HCM, Reporting, and Advanced Compensation modules, including Merit, Bonus, and Stock impacting compensation review processes.
- Data Discretion: Proven experience working with highly confidential information and supporting critical business operations and processes.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to set clear expectations with senior stakeholders and the confidence to escalate issues when necessary.
- Technical Tooling: Proven expertise in Workday Prism Analytics, EIB, and BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools).
- Cycle Leadership: Successful track record leading the technical backend of Annual Comp and Performance cycles in a medium-to-large global enterprise.
- Reporting Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Matrix and Composite reporting. You understand how to tell a story with data.
- Project Ownership: Ability to lead cross-functional projects, navigating ambiguity and high-pressure timelines with a sense of urgency.
- Academic: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Certified Expert: Workday certifications in Advanced Compensation or Prism. Integrations Knowledge: Understanding of EIBs, Studio, or Core Connectors to support data flow between Workday and third-party vendors. Stripe Culture Fit: You're a humble individual who loves adding organization to chaos.
