Workday Application Developer – Remote (U.S.) – Full-time, Direct W2. Responsibilities

• Configure Workday applications, including business processes, condition rules, and security framework.
• Design custom reports using Workday Report Writer, including advanced and composite reports.
• Develop calculated fields across HCM and Finance modules.
• Support integration efforts and lightweight application extensions using Workday Extend.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners (product, design, engineering, operations, business) to translate ambiguous requirements into well‑engineered solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide analytical support to ensure production‑stable work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five or more years of Workday technical experience.
• Deep expertise in Workday Report Writer, including advanced and composite reports.
• Strong proficiency with calculated fields across HCM and Finance.
• Hands‑on experience configuring business processes and condition rules.
• Strong understanding of the Workday security framework.
• Experience with PRISM Analytics or Workday Extend.
• Familiarity with Workday tenant management and release process.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Workday Pro certifications (preferred).
• Experience with Workday Extend application development (preferred).
• Familiarity with PRISM data ingestion and modeling (preferred).
• Exposure to multi‑tenant or multi‑region Workday deployments (preferred).
• Experience supporting Workday Payroll or Workday Financials (preferred).

Pay

Salary range: $95,000–$115,000 annually.
