About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Workday Administrator, ideally with a background in FinTech. You will be responsible for the overall health, configuration, and optimization of our Workday ecosystem, covering both Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financial Management modules. As the Workday subject matter expert, you will integrate Workday applications and maximize system value, acting as a bridge between HR, Finance, and Engineering to ensure seamless, secure, and business-aligned enterprise systems.

Following implementation, you will administer the Workday systems, provide functional support, update the system to meet evolving needs, monitor end-user usage, and perform daily administration tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the roadmap for Workday HCM and Financials, including post-implementation and ongoing administration of the Workday Platform.
  • Troubleshoot Workday configuration and reporting issues to identify and fix root causes.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of new Workday features and functionality.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for HR and Finance teams, advising on system capabilities and automation opportunities.
  • Oversee day-to-day configuration and performance of the Workday platform, including security groups and tenant maintenance.
  • Monitor Workday releases, assets, and partner in testing updates to ensure data integrity and business process operation.
  • Ensure adherence to all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls.
  • Develop and maintain Workday standard operating procedures.
  • Design, create, maintain, and support a variety of reports and queries—both standard and custom—to provide actionable insights for leadership, with expertise in Workday Composite Reporting and cross-functional dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain vendor integrations between Workday and third-party service providers, optimizing integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio) for maximum performance.
  • Champion and drive major Workday initiatives, such as semi-annual release testing and new module implementations from concept to deployment.
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating new Workday features and emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML within Workday) to enhance business efficiency.
  • Develop guidelines and documentation, and provide high-tier technical support to ensure successful adoption of system changes and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, HR, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Workday administration, specifically supporting both HCM and Financial Management modules.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into business-friendly language.
  • Solid track record of managing complex Workday environments, including business process configuration, security, reporting, and resolving ownership conflicts in complex Workday environments.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with extensive experience in automation and a deep understanding of interactions between people, processes, and systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience working in Agile environments, with the ability to pivot quickly when business strategies change.
  • Prior experience implementing or maintaining Workday systems.
  • Ability to model and configure workflows and systems that balance complexity and user experience.
  • Knowledge of Workday integration tools (EIB, Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer) and ETL processes and tools.
  • Ability to work with XML, Java, and Web Service-based integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with implementations spanning multiple countries.
  • Experience with FinTech.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
  • Flying Start – Immersive Global Induction Program (meet executives and global teams).
  • Work with a dynamic and global team (collaborating virtually for years).
  • Wellbeing programs (mental health, wellness, yoga/Pilates/HIIT classes) with global FlyMates.
  • Competitive time off, including FlyBetter Days to volunteer and Digital Disconnect Days.
  • Talent and development programs (e.g., Managers Taking Flight for new or aspiring managers).
