About the role

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Workday Absence Management & Time Tracking Lead Consultant on behalf of our client in Remote, USA. This consultant will play a key role in supporting a global rollout of Workday Absence Management and Time Tracking across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering and discovery workshops with business stakeholders, HR teams, and project leadership.
  • Design and define Workday Absence Management and Time Tracking solutions that meet business and operational requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on:
    • Absence plans and eligibility rules
    • Time entry configuration
    • Time calculation and validation rules
    • Time Tracking business processes
    • Workday security considerations
  • Guide project teams on Workday best practices and configuration approaches.
  • Support the development of global templates while addressing country-specific requirements.
  • Review and validate functional designs, configuration strategies, and implementation deliverables.
  • Identify gaps between business needs and Workday capabilities and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Integrations, Security, and Technical teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Support testing, deployment planning, rollout activities, and transition to production.
  • Provide functional leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Absence Management and Workday Time Tracking.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing Workday Absence and Time Tracking solutions.
  • Experience leading requirements gathering, solution design, and functional architecture activities.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Absence plans and accrual policies
    • Eligibility and business rules
    • Time entry and time tracking configuration
    • Time calculation rules
    • Workday business processes
    • Security roles and access controls
    • Global HR and workforce management processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday Payroll.
  • Understanding of payroll impacts related to absence and time tracking processes.
  • Experience integrating Workday Time Tracking and Absence Management with payroll systems or third-party workforce management solutions.
  • Prior experience supporting large enterprise or global organizations.
  • Workday certifications in Absence Management, Time Tracking, or related modules are a plus.
