About the role

The Workday Absence and Time Tracking Principal Consultant will bridge the gap between business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation, driving tasks within project workstreams to achieve goals while reinforcing company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Guide clients through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and unique business requirements at all project stages.
  • Engage and support clients through all project phases, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to Workday HCM.
  • Perform multiple tasks under limited direction while keeping stakeholders informed of progress and changes.
  • Take leadership roles on projects, including as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
  • Demonstrate hands-on expertise in Workday, including data loading, configuration migration, and setting up business processes and security.
  • Convert and map data sources into data conversion templates using iLoads.
  • Mentor fellow consultants and analysts, including supporting shadow assignments.
  • Participate in update training and share skills and learnings within the organization.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
  • Workday Certification in Absence and Time Tracking preferred.
  • 2+ years of Workday functional implementation experience in Absence, Time Tracking, and Scheduling.
  • 2-5 years of experience implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, and implementing solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrated functional experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Financials Management.
  • Up to 25% travel required.

Pay

The annual salary for this position is between $106,171 USD and $159,257 USD, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance.
