About the role

These student-worker roles primarily support the Johnson School of Business’s marketing and recruitment efforts, while also providing important tutoring and learning assistance to fellow students.

Responsibilities

Marketing, Recruitment, and Outreach

  • Assist with social media planning and execution, including drafting captions, scheduling posts, and providing basic graphics support as needed.
  • Support the development of marketing materials that communicate academic offerings internally and externally.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including events, outreach efforts, and other initiatives designed to promote the school and its programs.
  • Help represent JSOB in a professional and positive manner when communicating with prospective students, parents, and other external audiences.

Tutoring and Academic Support

  • Provide tutoring for business courses, especially Fundamental courses.
  • Explain concepts clearly and break down problems step-by-step to support student understanding.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled student at JSOB in good academic standing.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, prospective students, and parents.
  • Demonstrated competence in the subject areas.
  • Patience and the ability to explain academic concepts clearly to peers.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and uphold academic integrity.

Schedule

5–10 hours per week • Fall and Spring semesters
