Utah Valley University’s Computer Science Department is seeking an Instructional Assistant. If you enjoy helping others, sharing your knowledge, and developing your skills, we invite you to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Tutoring students in Computer Science courses
• Grading assignments and exams
• Assisting with course development
• Supporting faculty in various instructional duties

Requirements

• Must be a current UVU student at the start of Fall 2022
• Must have successfully completed CS 1400 & CS 1410 with a B or higher
• Must have received a grade of B or higher in the course(s) assigned to IA for
• Must have successfully completed a 3000-level Computer Science class with a B or higher

Skills

• Effective time-management and problem-solving skills
• Competent skills in MS Office (including Teams) and Canvas
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Ability to effectively communicate with faculty, staff, and students
