About the role

The Riverside Regional Jail is seeking Part-Time Civilian Transportation Personnel to provide transportation for Inmates currently participating on the work release program. These Inmates are minimum custody and are currently employed in the local area.

Responsibilities

• Transporting work release participants to and from Riverside Regional Jails Pre- release building to businesses in the local area according to approved work schedules.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a standard 15 passenger van.
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Virginia state driver’s license.
• United States citizenship.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work all times of the day to include weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
• No felony convictions or charges that would be classified as a felony if committed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Qualifications

• Prior correctional / security experience with a public, private, or military agency preferred but not required.
