About the role

As the Work Placement & Enrichment Co-ordinator, you will help deliver vocational training, work experience, and employment pathways for young people who find mainstream education challenging. The role supports YMCA Key College’s mission to create inclusive opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work placements and enrichment activities for young people in vocational training programmes.
• Build and maintain relationships with local employers, schools, and community partners to secure placement opportunities.
• Support learners in developing employability skills, confidence, and workplace readiness.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback, and ensure placements align with individual learning plans.
• Organise and deliver enrichment activities that enhance learners’ personal development and community engagement.
• Collaborate with YMCA Key College staff to integrate work experience into broader education and training pathways.

Requirements

• Experience working with young people, particularly those facing barriers to education or employment.
• Knowledge of vocational training, employability programmes, or work-based learning.
• Strong organisational and communication skills to liaise with employers, learners, and colleagues.
• Ability to motivate and support young people in achieving their goals.
• Commitment to YMCA Derbyshire’s values of inclusion, opportunity, and community.

Benefits

• Salary: £25,918 per annum.
• 35 hours per week.

Based in Derby.
