Work Controller/ Plumbing-FPSS

Essential Duties & Job Functions

• Schedule, track, and expedite maintenance work.
• Process material requests and ensure materials are available.
• Cookordinate access, priorities, and job requirements with customers and trade shops.
• Update work status and maintain accurate records in scheduling databases.
• Provide workload, backlog, and performance reports to management.
• Support process improvements that enhance planning and scheduling efficiency.
• Develop, organize, and process outages required for maintenance being performed.
• Cross train with other trades.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations)

• Mandatory: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mandatory: Two (2+) plus years of experience supporting or coordinating fire protection system maintenance, including sprinklers, standpipes, fire pumps, fire hydrants, and fire suppression equipment.
• Mandatory: Understanding of NFPA standards, especially NFPA 25 (Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems).
• Mandatory: Knowledge of pressure testing, flow requirements, and water system safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and confined space considerations.
• Mandatory: Strong communication skills to translate technical requirements between field technicians, engineering teams, and scheduling/operations leadership.
• Mandatory: Computer proficiency in Windows; strong Excel skills preferred.
• Mandatory: Experience with MAXIMO or similar maintenance systems is highly desirable.
• Mandatory: Valid driver’s license, ability to pass background check/drug screening, and U.S. Citizenship.
