Work Control Planner 4
Responsibilities
. We have requirements: Minimum Job Requirements, Desired Qualifications, Essential Job Functions, Work Location, Position Commitment. Could be underRequirements
or separate Qualifications? The instruction says we can have Qualifications, Skills, etc. We'll combine into Requirements. We have benefits: "Our generous benefits package includes:" list. SoBenefits
. We have Pay? Not mentioned. No pay info. So we should not include Pay section. Schedule? Not mentioned. No schedule info. So omit. We also have "Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM." That's location info; could be part of Requirements or maybe a separate section "Location". But not in list of headings; we could put under Requirements as a paragraph. We also have "Position Commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service..." That's also requirement. We also have "Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level)." That's a requirement. We also have "New-Employment Drug Test..." etc. That's also requirement. We also have "Incentive Compensation Program: Position is eligible to participate..." That's a benefit? Could be under Benefits. We also have "Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision..." etc. That's more legal/boilerplate; maybe remove as it's legal/EEO? It's about clearance eligibility. Might be considered boilerplate but it's specific to clearance. However instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. This is legal/clearance info; might be considered legal boilerplate. But it's substantive about clearance requirement. However we already have clearance mentioned. Might be safe to keep a brief note about clearance under Requirements. But the long paragraph about Directive 206.2 etc may be considered boilerplate. We'll keep essential clearance requirement. We also have "Equal Opportunity:" etc. That's EEO boilerplate; remove. We also have "To request such an accommodation..." that's application instruction? Actually it's about accommodation request; could be considered part of EEO; remove. We also have "All work locations are at the discretion of management." that's location info. We need to preserve ALL substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep details like responsibilities list, requirements list, benefits list, etc. We must not repeat job title as heading. We must not put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings (none present). We must not include sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present. Now craft HTML. We'll have:Responsibilities
... (the responsibilities paragraph). Could also break into
- for list of duties. The responsibilities paragraph is long; we can split into bullet points for clarity. The instruction: Use
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. So we should convert the responsibilities into a list if it's a list. The responsibilities paragraph contains multiple sentences describing duties; we can make each duty a bullet. Similarly for requirements: we have many bullet-like items; we can make a list. Benefits: list. We'll need to ensure we preserve all substantive info; not lose any. Let's extract responsibilities sentences: From "What You Will Do Work Control is a multidisciplinary group, providing deployed support to all Facility Operations Directorates (FODs) for maintenance planning, scheduling, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) support. The MSS-Work Control group uses Integrated Work Management to plan, schedule, and perform work in a safe and secure manner. You will be responsible to the deployed Work Control Team Lead for developing and/or reviewing work packages including time, material, and labor estimates, written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and/or safety and post maintenance testing requirements for the implementation and control of operations, maintenance, construction or modification of work activities within a given facility or area. Specific planning duties may be related to mechanical, electrical, chemical and/or radiological equipment, policies, and procedures and may also include resolving work restraints and bringing work packages to final closure. As a Work Control Planner 4, you will develop, monitor, and validate accuracy, audit performance data, reports, and other statistical information. You will also maintain databases and other programs as required for use in the development of performance measurements, and other required data administration. Additionally, you will evaluate processes, programs, and procedures for potential improvements and develop and maintain maintenance policies, processes, procedures, and provide training in support of the conduct of maintenance program." We can break into bullet points: - Provide deployed support to all Facility Operations Directorates (FODs) for maintenance planning, scheduling, and CMMS support. - Use Integrated Work Management to plan, schedule, and perform work in a safe and secure manner. - Develop and/or review work packages including time, material, and labor estimates, written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and safety and post-maintenance testing requirements for implementation and control of operations, maintenance, construction, or modification of work activities within a given facility or area. - Specific planning duties may relate to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and/or radiological equipment, policies, and procedures; also include resolving work restraints and bringing work packages to final closure. - Develop, monitor, and validate accuracy; audit performance data, reports, and other statistical information. - Maintain databases and other programs as required for performance measurements and data administration. - Evaluate processes, programs, and procedures for potential improvements; develop and maintain maintenance policies, processes, and procedures; provide training in support of the maintenance program. Might be considered legal but it's about requirements. The instruction says remove legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. However DOE Order 426.2 is a requirement; it's not exactly EEO. It's about personnel selection. Might be considered legal but it's substantive about qualification. I'd keep it but maybe shorten? The instruction says do NOT invent or summarize away detail. So we must keep the detail. However we can keep it as prose. But we also have a lot of repeated clearance info; we can keep but avoid duplication. We also have "Note to Applicants: Please submit a detailed resume..." which is application instruction; remove. Also "Where You Will Work Located in beautiful northern New Mexico, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. Our generous benefits package includes:" That's location description and benefits intro. We'll keep location as part of Requirements maybe. Now benefits list:
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
