About the role
This position involves investigating, evaluating, and resolving workers' compensation claims, determining the extent of company liability, and may include coverage, compensability, and liability evaluation in accordance with policy provisions. The role can be performed remotely and requires experience with wage loss in the states of IL, MI, and IN.
Responsibilities
- Follows corporate policies, procedures, and fair claims handling practices
- Investigates claims to determine validity and extent of liability, including obtaining necessary information and reviewing documentation
- Monitors claim outcomes through self-audit process and delivers superior customer service to policyholders and agents
- Ensures legal, regulatory, and fair claims handling compliance and sets or recommends reserves based on claim investigation results
- Manages, evaluates, and concludes claims, preparing and maintaining claim reports as needed
- Conducts in-depth interviews, scene inspections, settlement conferences, and/or trials, and may serve on project teams
Qualifications

- Two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an associate's degree (A.A.) from a two-year college/technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work legally in the United States, with no visa sponsorship/support available
