About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Logistics Specialists as part of our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). This entry-level position requires the successful candidate to report to a site location. Amazon has multiple WBLP trainee openings between June and December of 2026. Trainees will participate in our 12-month work and training program in our Ohio facilities.
Responsibilities
- Review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure proper stock levels are maintained in the assigned data center to support build and repair activities.
- Create plans to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle; tracking inventory location, movement, age, and returns.
- Work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately.
- Work with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements.
- Communicate regularly and on an ongoing basis with vendors to resolve issues and help them understand business requirements.
- Assemble, address, stamp and arrange for the shipment of merchandise and materials.
- Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations.
- Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company.
- Ensure that all billing associated with the Inventory supply chain is accurate, validated and ready for processing.
- Coordinate with suppliers and resolve inquiries from cross-functional teams.
- Understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high quality, and be willing and able to work on powered equipment (i.e., forklift or cherry picker).
- Work in a warehouse or data center environment depending on the region.
- Work both independently and with a team; prioritize tasks, organize workflows, communicate effectively, and react quickly.
- Participate in shift work that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Travel within the regional work area using a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license; company transportation is not provided.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Work in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments.
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
- Tolerate working in non-climate-controlled environments with temperature fluctuations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.
Qualifications
- STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems, and inventory management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay
Starting pay ranges by location:
- Hilliard, OH: $21.68 – $37.93 USD hourly
- New Albany, OH: $21.68 – $37.93 USD hourly
- Plain City, OH: $21.68 – $37.93 USD hourly
