Work Based Learning Program Logistics Specialist

About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. As a Logistics Specialist in our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP), you’ll join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

This entry-level position is part of a 12-month work and training program based in our Oregon facilities, with multiple trainee openings between June and December 2026. Amazon is not able to provide sponsorship for these positions; eligible candidates must have work authorization without employer intervention. For positions in Oregon and Ohio, access to the AWS GovCloud region is restricted to U.S. citizens.

Responsibilities

• Vendor and team communication, including data entry, coordinating with suppliers, and resolving inquiries from cross-functional teams
• Ensure all billing associated with the Inventory supply chain is accurate, validated, and ready for processing
• Assemble, address, stamp, and arrange for the shipment of merchandise and materials
• Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations
• Maintain precise records of all commodities moving in and out of the company
• Travel within the regional work area using a personal vehicle
• Successfully complete the 12-month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum, including all required safety certifications, technical competencies, and performance milestones
• Review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to maintain proper stock levels for build and repair activities
• Create plans to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle, tracking inventory location, movement, age, and returns
• Work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians, Data Center Engineers, Procurement, and Hardware Engineering to fulfill parts quickly and accurately
• Interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements, and communicate regularly to resolve issues and align on business requirements
• Adhere to strict safety standards, maintain high quality, and operate powered equipment (e.g., forklift or cherry picker)
• Work in a warehouse or data center environment, both independently and as part of a team
• Work shift rotations, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
• Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations
• Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7, including after-hours support and primary responder rotation
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
• Work in cramped, elevated, noisy, and non-climate-controlled environments
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation
• Tolerance for working in environments with temperature fluctuations
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license for travel within the regional work area

Preferred Qualifications

• STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
• Knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems, and inventory management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

A lump sum stipend will be provided to eligible candidates who need to relocate for this position.

Pay

• USA, OR, Boardman: $21.00 - $37.00 USD hourly
• USA, OR, Hermiston: $21.00 - $37.00 USD hourly
• USA, OR, Umatilla: $21.00 - $37.00 USD hourly
• USA, WA, Attalia: $21.00 - $37.00 USD hourly
