Woodworker

About the role

AbleLight is currently hiring a Woodworker who creates high-quality, original products using stationary and power tools, showcasing artistic style and craftsmanship in home décor and custom orders. Work is accomplished as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Use woodworking tools such as power saws, routers and sanders, planers, lathe, chop and table saws, chisels, and basic hand tools to construct wooden furniture, home décor, and craft items according to specifications
• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, accuracy, and finishing quality
• Develop new designs and improve existing production, incorporating creativity and technical skills
• Accurately use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, and compass
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards
• Ensure workshop safety and cleanliness
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other team members to achieve project goals
• Work with other staff in the assembly, finishing, wrapping, and shipping of products
• Engage with customers individually and at craft fairs

Requirements

• Experience in various crafting techniques and tools, including power and hand tools
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass a background check

Pay & Schedule

• Compensation: $15.16/hr
• Shift: Part Time
