About the role

McMillen Yachts maintains a fleet of fractionally owned classic wooden yachts, which travel the eastern United States & Bahamas seasonally.

Responsibilities

- Basic boat cleaning and maintenance - Line handling - Tender launch & operation - Assisting captain with docking - Basic mechanical maintenance - Guest interaction

Requirements

Must have basic experience with portable and stationary woodworking tools. Must be able to work in a small team collaboratively and be willing to pull multiple boatyard tasks. Clean, neat work habits and attention to detail are a must.

Qualifications

Boatbuilder Assistant / Carpenter positions require basic skillsets and an interest in learning wooden boatbuilding and restoration skills. Deckhand/mate/engineer positions require experience with basic boat operations and guest interaction.

Boatbuilder Assistant / Carpenter positions are seasonal, working alongside experienced boatbuilders. Deckhand/mate/engineer positions operate year-round, with private and charter operation in the Northeast during summers and Florida / Bahamas in winters.
