Wood Truss Loader

About the role

As a Wood Truss Loader, your top priority will be to accurately and efficiently load wood trusses for customer deliveries.

Essential Functions

• Promote and drive a safety-first culture, ensuring the safety of employees, drivers, and customers.
• Operate a forklift and larger lift to load wood trusses on trucks and trailers.
• Promote and maintain cleanliness of the loading area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Experience Requirements

• Ability to properly utilize and maintain all personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Read, write, and communicate with employees, drivers, and contractors effectively and professionally.
• Operate forklift and other larger type lifts.
• Maintain a dependable attendance record.
• Receive instruction and follow directions, including technical and multi-step instructions.
• Work independently as well as in a team.
• Work safely, remain calm, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Attributes

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous forklift and/or other type loading equipment experience.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting for long periods of time.
• Routine lifting up to 50 lbs (occasional lifting up to 80 lbs).
• Frequent to occasional stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, climbing, bending, and twisting.
