Wood Truss Designer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architectural and engineering teams to create wood truss designs that comply with project specifications and codes
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to draft and layout wood truss systems
• Interpret architectural and structural plans to determine the requirements for wood truss designs
• Ensure that all designs adhere to industry standards, building codes, and regulations
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to address any design issues or modifications required during the construction process
• Review and analyze completed designs to ensure accuracy, necessary revisions, and cost-effectiveness
• Provide technical support to production teams, answering any questions or providing guidance as needed

Qualifications

• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Strong knowledge of wood construction techniques and building codes
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate drawings
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet project deadlines
• Familiarity with truss design software is a plus

Pay

$22 - $29/hour
