Wood Products Marketing Specialist
About the Role
We are a newly integrated enterprise marketing and communications team looking for a talented marketing specialist to help grow and elevate marketing across our Wood Products business. We're dedicated professionals who care deeply about our work, our company, and the customers and communities we serve. We work together to solve complex challenges and strive for excellence in everything we do. We are equal parts creativity, precision, adaptability and drive, and we strive to have fun every day. We focus on solving problems rather than finding them, and we try to listen more than we talk. We're looking for someone who can step in and help us elevate our marketing strategy and execution from Day 1.
This position is an individual contributor role based at our Seattle Headquarters, reporting to the senior manager of Wood Products marketing. The role operates under our hybrid Flexible Work Policy, which requires employees to be in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and allows for remote work on Monday and Friday.
Primary Responsibilities
- Business partnership: Partner with sales, business and cross-functional teams to conceptualize, develop, execute and measure marketing programs, sales tools, communications and promotions that support customer engagement and Wood Products business growth, with a focus on our Engineered Wood Products portfolio.
- Marketing deliverables: Collaborate with internal creative resources and external agencies to develop high-impact marketing materials and campaigns that strengthen brand awareness and drive measurable results.
- Event management: Help plan, promote and support customer-facing events, including trade shows, builder and contractor events, customer seminars, open houses and other sales engagement activities.
- Project management: Manage product sample and technical literature programs, ensuring materials remain current, consistent, accessible and aligned with business needs.
- Field sales focus: Serve as a go-to resource for sales teams by providing timely support, identifying solutions and helping develop customized marketing materials, customer programs, business-driven sales incentives and promotional opportunities.
- Creative contributions: Create and coordinate a variety of customer-facing and sales-enablement materials, including print collateral, email campaigns, advertisements, promotions and region-specific marketing resources.
- Enterprise alignment: Prioritize, coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing deadlines, stakeholders and levels of complexity while maintaining a high standard of quality and execution.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of marketing experience, including experience supporting the creation and deployment of print and digital marketing campaigns, along with customer-facing promotions.
- Comfortable with digital and social media strategy, content development and data-driven decision-making using web-based platforms.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while building strong relationships across teams.
- Comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and giving and receiving feedback.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality work.
- A good eye for effective design, and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers to develop high-impact and brand-aligned marketing materials.
- Understanding of business-to-business marketing principles, with experience in elevating brand recognition and implementing customer-focused, results-oriented marketing tactics.
- Experience supporting the development of presentations, and supporting sales organizations through the development of marketing communications, promotions, and sales-enablement tools.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, email marketing programs, marketing automation tools, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft 365.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
