Wood/Foam Shop Laborer

Responsibilities

• Development & execution of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure efficient use of labor and materials.
• Aid in identifying variances to the daily plan.
• Cross-train employees and support communication, including start-of-day meetings.
• Communicate with the crew and Foreman to understand and provide feedback on expectations.
• Complete daily tasks assigned by the Foreman.
• Ensure quality at the source.
• Maintain tools and machinery in the designated area.
• Issue maintenance work orders for equipment requiring repair.
• Identify, report, and address safety hazards, poor behavior, and unsafe actions immediately.
• Comply with daily 5S practices and review work areas with the Foreman.
• Participate in safety programs and training.

Requirements

• Ability to read a tape measure and follow blue print drawings.
• Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 75 lbs, crawling on hands and knees, climbing ladders, and working long hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in the Precast Industry is preferred but not required.
