Wonder Unit seeks a Sequence Director, New York

Responsibilities

• You will open a scene, add characters, position them, set up the camera, and insert the shot into Storyboarder.
• Add the shots needed to tell the story, using the software to visualize and layout sequences.
• Collaborate directly with writers and Director to brainstorm ideas, shape the film through visual sequences, and develop framing, staging, and timing.
• Tackle challenging story and structure problems to maximize creative value.
• Exercise a keen eye for creative continuity and practical construction.
• Meet project deadlines and milestones as set by Directors and Head of Story.

Requirements

• Understanding of cinematic framing and dramatic story structure.
• Experience working on a dramatic production.
• A knack for working with others in a fast-paced environment.
• A spirit of collaboration and creative problem-solving to brainstorm challenges.
• Ability to work digitally using our custom software (Shot Generator within Storyboarder).
• Ability to take constructive feedback and align with the team vision.
