Women's Soccer Graduate Assistant (Labor) - Athletics
This is a regular student labor position assisting the Head Coach, Women's Soccer with the coordination, guidance, direction, and supervision of the women's soccer program. Hours are 5-25 per week; working nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
About the Department
The Athletics Department at the University of Central Oklahoma supports over 400 student athletes in 15 NCAA Division II sports, including Football, Men's & Women's Basketball, Men's & Women's Golf, Baseball, Softball, Wrestling, Women's Track & Field (Indoor & Outdoor) and Cross Country, Women's Tennis, Women's Soccer, Women's Rowing, and Women's Volleyball.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting coordination
- Coaching student-athletes
- Monitoring student-athlete academic progress
- Game management
- Budget and administrative duties
- Travel coordination
Enrollment Requirements
- Fall/Spring Semesters:
- Undergraduate students: minimum 6 credit hours
- Graduate students: minimum 5 credit hours
- F1/J1 Visa students: full-time enrollment (undergraduate: 12 credit hours; graduate: 9 credit hours)
- Summer Semester:
- Minimum 3 summer credit hours or enrolled in the upcoming fall semester with the minimum required credit hours
- Students enrolled in fewer than 3 summer credit hours will be subject to FICA taxes
- Federal Work Study Program (FWSP) positions require 6 credit hours (undergraduate) or 5 credit hours (graduate)
- New incoming students are not eligible until the semester they begin classes
- If fewer credit hours are needed to graduate than the minimum required, a letter from an Academic Advisor must be submitted to Human Resources
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Former collegiate or professional playing experience
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- General knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations
- Strong desire to learn
- Ability to perform all tasks appointed by the head coach
