Job Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive health assessments, obtain medical histories, and conduct physical examinations for adolescent and adult female patients.
  • Provide preventive women's healthcare services, including annual well-woman examinations and age-appropriate screenings.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic gynecologic conditions.
  • Manage contraception counseling and family planning services.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.
  • Prescribe medications and therapeutic treatments within scope of practice.
  • Provide prenatal care and monitoring for low-risk obstetric patients.
  • Conduct postpartum examinations and ongoing maternal care.
  • Educate patients regarding reproductive health, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and disease prevention.
  • Perform office procedures within approved scope of practice and credentialing privileges.
  • Collaborate with physicians and specialists regarding patient care and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Arizona APRN license. National certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) preferred, or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with women's health experience. Current DEA registration or ability to obtain.
  • Experience: Experience in women's health, gynecology, obstetrics, family practice, or related specialty preferred. Two or more years of Women's Health experience. Experience providing prenatal and postpartum care. Experience performing women's health procedures in an outpatient setting.
