The Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center is seeking a full-time obstetric anesthesiologist to join the Division of Women’s Anesthesia.

About the role

The Division of Women’s Anesthesia is responsible for obstetric, gynecologic oncologic, ophthalmologic and urologic anesthesia at Duke. The majority of cases are high-risk obstetric patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for obstetric patients
  • Contribute to teaching and research in clinical or basic sciences
  • Participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Collaborate with other specialists in the division

Requirements

  • BC/BE in Anesthesiology
  • Fellowship training in obstetric anesthesiology (or significant experience and expertise)
  • Excellent communication skills

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Current license to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina
