Wok Line Cook

About the role

As a Wok Line Cook, you bring the energy and technique of the wok to life in the Din Tai Fung (DTF) kitchen. You are responsible for preparing wok dishes according to Din Tai Fung’s recipes, cook times, techniques, and plating standards, ensuring each dish delivers the flavor, quality, and consistency our guests expect.

Responsibilities

• Check ingredient quality and cook wok dishes following Din Tai Fung’s recipes, cook times, and techniques
• Finish dishes with proper garnishes and maintain plating standards
• Maintain a clean, organized wok station throughout service
• Label products in compliance with health department regulations and company procedures
• Participate in monthly staff and wok department meetings for continued development
• Keep all kitchen areas clean and sanitized
• Organize items within walk-in coolers and freezers
• Lift and move boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
• Assist with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
