Position Summary
The Financial Analyst supports mission-critical objectives under the referenced work order by tracking program financials, managing budgets, and aligning funding streams with DoD financial planning processes. This role supports the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process and performs financial forecasting. This future opportunity is contingent upon award.
Job Description
- Tracks program financials and manages budgets.
- Supports the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
- Performs financial forecasting and cost estimation.
- Prepares funding justifications and expenditure tracking.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in financial management.
- Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
- DoD budget execution and cost estimation.
- Financial reporting and forecasting.
- Defense financial management systems.
- Congressional budget justifications and funding reconciliation.
- Expenditure tracking and cost analysis.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Expertise in DoD budget execution, cost estimation, and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of defense financial management systems.
- Proficiency in the PPBE process and financial forecasting.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to support funding justifications and expenditure tracking.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Limited to those with a Lean Six Certification (Preferred, Not Required).
- Limited to those with a PMP Certification (Preferred, Not Required).
- Limited to those with a Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) Certification (Preferred, Not Required).
- Limited to those with a CPA Certification (Preferred, Not Required).
Clearance Requirement
No clearance required for off-site duty location, or the ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance as specified by the program.
