Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the design authority for WMS solutions across the enterprise.
- Lead strategic architecture and implementation of WMS. Blue Yonder or Manhattan would be preferred.
- Define WMS standards, integration patterns, deployment strategies, and best practices across multiple sites.
- Own end-to-end solution design for inbound, outbound, inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns, labor, and task management.
- Lead multi-site and global warehouse transformation programs, including rollout planning and virtual coordination across regions.
- Design and govern integrations with ERP, OMS, scanners, printers, automation, robotics, and other enterprise systems.
- Drive blueprinting, architecture, build, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare for complex WMS implementations.
- Provide technical and functional leadership across IT, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Influence business and IT decision-making on solution direction, trade-offs, and investment priorities.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, lead root cause analysis, and coordinate resolution across teams.
- Prepare and review functional specifications, technical design documents, integration architecture, and deployment plans.
- Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing, production validation, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Support automation, robotics, and material handling equipment integrations from an architectural perspective.
- Provide strategic guidance on WMS roadmap, capabilities, and future-state design.
- Communicate clearly with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in WMS, supply chain technology, or related enterprise applications.
- Strong hands-on experience in Blue Yonder or Manhattan WMS.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-level, end-to-end WMS implementations across multiple sites.
- Deep understanding of warehouse and distribution center operations at scale.
- Experience designing WMS solutions for retail, ecommerce, manufacturing, or 3PL environments.
- Ability to define and govern WMS architecture, integration strategies, and deployment standards.
- Strong leadership experience working with IT, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Experience in ERP, OMS, and automation integrations.
- Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, middleware, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience in automation, robotics, conveyor systems, and advanced material handling.
- Background in retail or ecommerce.
- Ability to shape WMS strategy and roadmap at an enterprise level.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder influence skills.
