WM Escheatment Operations- Associate

About the role

We're seeking an Associate in WM Escheatment Operations to collaborate with branches and key stakeholders across multiple businesses. The role involves ensuring timely reporting and delivery of eligible accounts and respective assets to states in compliance with escheatment guidelines. The position is part of the Client Service & Relationship Management division, focusing on managing internal and external client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with branches and key stakeholders across multiple businesses to ensure timely reporting and delivery of eligible accounts and respective assets to states in accordance with escheatment guidelines.
• Manage internal and external client relationships by engaging in client service activities, optimizing the client experience, and managing vendor/external business partner relationships.
• Support financial transactions and devise/implement effective controls within the Operations division.
• Ensure compliance with client requests without compromising operational controls.
• Identify and escalate potential process anomalies to management in a timely manner.
• Provide subject matter expertise in business areas, client requirements, and operational/compliance policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Establish clear goals and priorities, addressing non-standard issues within the area of expertise with minimal guidance and supervision.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area and operational/compliance policies and procedures of their team.
• Organizational skills, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Knowledge of unclaimed property regulations and SEC 17ad-17 is welcomed.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze large datasets.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' relevant experience.

Benefits

Morgan Stanley offers a competitive salary range of $51,000 and $83,000 per year, with the possibility of an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also includes a discretionary bonus component. Additional benefits include:
