Associate, Regulatory Operations
About the role
The Regulatory Associate is responsible for project managing and supporting discrete tasks to ensure Oscar is compliant with federal and state product filing requirements. You will work with internal Oscar teams and interface with our external regulators.
Responsibilities
- Manage required annual QHP filings (form, binder, rate) with state regulators, state exchanges, and CMS, including the development of action plans that ensure regulatory approval
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with regulatory agencies, including state insurance regulators, state-based exchanges, and CMS
- Be the advisor to your teammates and teams to lead the accurate completion of filing deliverables as a subject matter expert
- Develop sustainable processes which simplify outputs while ensuring high quality deliverables, including maintenance of a repository of guidance and resources
- Manage other projects in support of filings while achieving deadlines and managing competing priorities
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of commensurate experience
- 4+ years of healthcare industry experience, ideally in the health plan/managed care space
- 2+ years of SERFF, HIOS, and/or MPMS experience
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Bonus points: 3+ years of SERFF, HIOS, and/or network data analysis experience
Pay
The base pay for this role in the states of New Jersey and New York is: $101,844 - $133,670 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $91,659 - $120,303 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. You will be fully remote; however, our approach to work may adapt over time. Future models could potentially involve a hybrid presence at the hub office associated with your metro area.
