About the role

As Wirer, you will assemble all heater unit product codes and fabricate necessary components as required per work order, blue print, and engineering specification.

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Hydro test per specification.
• Paints product as necessary.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.

Requirements

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified in the following ASME brazing procedures: BPS-B1, BPS-B2, BPS-B3, BPS-B4, BPS-B5.

Working Environment

• Employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to walk and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
