About the role
Milacron is seeking an Electrical Wirer to join our team in Batavia, OH.
Responsibilities
- Build and wire panels for machines, equipment and their subassemblies following layouts, electrical circuits, and other written and verbal specifications.
- Read, comprehend, and interpret wiring diagrams.
- Set the department / area standards in housekeeping, attendance, and teamwork by example.
- Communicate any discrepancies or errors on prints, materials list etc.
- Recognize problems during assembly, take appropriate corrective action to resolve them.
- Produce quality work in a time frame that meets the expectation of the Team/Group Leads.
- Complete Lockout / Tag out training using all required items when performing Lockout.
- Work safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Recognize problems with electrical designs and parts, take appropriate corrective action to resolve them.
- Recommend improvements for work area, products, and processes.
- Perform prototype work with limited Engineering and minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent knowledge (basic math, reading, and writing).
- An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- 3+ years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic computer skills.
