Responsibilities
- Install, wire, troubleshoot, and commission residential solar PV systems
- Perform electrical work for roof-mounted and ground-mounted solar systems
- Interpret electrical drawings, site plans, blueprints, and system schematics
- Ensure all electrical work meets NEC standards and local AHJ requirements
- Troubleshoot system performance issues, inverter faults, and electrical deficiencies
- Perform testing and verification of system functionality and safety
- Support installation crews onsite and maintain efficient workflow
- Maintain organized documentation, photos, and completion records
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and internal operations teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Requirements
- Previous residential electrical experience required
- Solar PV experience preferred
- Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in the field
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and in outdoor environments
- Professional communication and customer interaction skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment safely throughout the workday
Preferred Qualifications
- Solar installation experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with battery storage systems
- Experience supporting residential solar crews
