Responsibilities

  • Install, wire, troubleshoot, and commission residential solar PV systems
  • Perform electrical work for roof-mounted and ground-mounted solar systems
  • Interpret electrical drawings, site plans, blueprints, and system schematics
  • Ensure all electrical work meets NEC standards and local AHJ requirements
  • Troubleshoot system performance issues, inverter faults, and electrical deficiencies
  • Perform testing and verification of system functionality and safety
  • Support installation crews onsite and maintain efficient workflow
  • Maintain organized documentation, photos, and completion records
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and internal operations teams
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements

  • Previous residential electrical experience required
  • Solar PV experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in the field
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and in outdoor environments
  • Professional communication and customer interaction skills
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment safely throughout the workday

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solar installation experience
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience with battery storage systems
  • Experience supporting residential solar crews
