Temporary full-time onsite position in Cuyahoga Falls, OH (44221) for approximately 13 months. Hourly rate: $38.00–$50.00.
Responsibilities
- Utilize facility analysis process to select areas for rehabilitation, coordinate field work, prepare work order drawings, and update documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Analyze reports, provide work order estimated expenditures, and prepare placement and joint-use memos.
- Apply knowledge of telephone industry standards, mechanized assignment records, PC applications, OSP records, and computer-aided drafting systems.
- Interact with all required on-line computer systems.
- Review underground structure design and apply a structural or civil professional engineering (P.E.) stamp when requested (licensed within the state where work is performed).
- Secure necessary field information, verify records, prepare documents, input data, and create work order construction prints.
- Post records and make recommendations to employees on findings and needed changes.
- Ensure compliance with the latest revisions of the National Electric Safety Code, National Electric Code, practices and procedures, and local and governmental jurisdiction requirements.
- Design outside plant work orders and provide administrative and field support to the outside plant provisioning process.
- Differentiate between electric, cable TV, and telecom hardware (copper cable, fiber cable, service drops, peds, J-hooks, etc.).
- Use OSP symbology and demonstrate a basic understanding of pole ownership and rental, including working knowledge of WALDO (preferred).
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in outside plant (OSP) engineering, including knowledge of OSP poles.
- 3–5 years of experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Power BI, etc.), including advanced Excel tools such as XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Hyperlink, and Concatenate.
- 3–5 years of GIS experience, preferably with ESRI products such as ArcGIS Pro.
- Project management experience in outside plant design.
- Familiarity with various communications outside plant engineering concepts, including copper cable, fiber optic cable, and coax cable.
- Ability to work independently and comply with industry standards and regulations.
Pay
Hourly rate: $38.00–$50.00.

Standard business hours. Full-time, onsite role with an estimated duration of 13 months.
