Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately cut and reel designated lengths of wire.
- Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers.
- Responsible for quality and quantity of daily production tasks.
- Accurately identify various types and sizes of wire.
- Offer solutions to problems that may arise in the wire order process.
- Communicate directly with the management team on customer orders, inventory, and daily tasks.
- Place materials on shelves or racks accurately.
- Recommend changes in procedures to improve the operating efficiency of the unit.
- Safely operate all necessary equipment in the work area. (Training provided)

- Ability to operate material moving equipment such as a forklift, riding pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and picking carts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
Essential Job Functions
- Lifting/Carrying: Frequently required to lift, carry, push, or pull wire reels, spools, and materials weighing up to 75 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance or material handling equipment.
- Standing/Walking: Prolonged standing and walking on concrete surfaces throughout the shift while operating cutting machines and handheld tools.
- Climbing/Balance: Climbing onto powered equipment to access or move wire reels or storage locations; maintaining balance while handling heavy or awkward loads.
- Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching: Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching to set up equipment, load reels, and retrieve materials from lower storage areas.
- Reaching/Handling: Frequent reaching, pulling, and grasping while threading, measuring, and cutting wire; manual dexterity required for handling tools, measuring devices, and machine controls.
- Vision: Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision (to distinguish wire colors and markings), and the ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing/Speaking: Ability to hear instructions, equipment alarms, and communicate effectively with coworkers in a noisy environment.
- Environmental Conditions: Work performed in a warehouse/production setting with exposure to machinery noise, dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
- PPE Use: Must be able to wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed shoes, high-visibility vest) for extended periods.
