Responsibilities
- Ensure timely fulfillment of orders requiring shipment of spools and/or wire.
- Ensure shipments of wire adhere to safety standards and are cut to order.
- Carry out assigned housekeeping tasks.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
- Able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
- Able to read orders and match them on shipping tickets to items picked.
- Basic math and reasoning skills.
- Certification of power-truck equipment.
- Operate inventory control equipment such as bar-coding equipment and handheld devices.
Physical Requirements
- Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Able to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.
- Spends a large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing.
- May require climbing of ladders for top-level selection.
